Champion

Only Carsise can become a Champion.

Champion — one of the six main classes in the game. Only Carsise can become a Champion. The Champion deals physical damage through melee attacks. It is a classic tank, armed with a large two-handed sword. Champion is more suitable for experienced players than for beginners. Champions develop in different ways, and the best option for newcomers is to find experienced Champion players (for example, in Guilds) and consult with them.

Pros and Cons of the Champion

Pros:

+ The highest HP and Defense growth among all classes; most of its skills focus on increasing survivability.

+ In the early stages, during PvP and boss fights, the Champion provides invaluable help to the guild by absorbing enemy damage.

+ As the server and character progress, the Champion becomes much stronger, gaining not only great endurance but also massive damage.

Cons:

- At the beginning, it is difficult for a Champion to level up and farm alone; they depend on the guild and are not suitable for solo play.

- Has very weak control skills.

- In the early stages, often plays the role of a “punching bag,” and to start showing good results in PvP, leveling, and farming, significant investments in equipment are required.

Leveling

Recommended leveling spots can be found on the Character Leveling page. It is more efficient for a Champion to level up in a group with AoE damage dealers, for example, with a Voyager or a Cleric.

Which Attributes to Level

The main attributes of the Champion are Constitution and Strength. Increasing only Constitution gives the Champion very high survivability but low attack, attack speed, and damage rate, which makes solo leveling and farming difficult — however, the Champion will be able to tank strong monsters, bosses, and enemy damage in PvP. Increasing only Strength results in low survivability. The additional stat is Agility. A parameter that deserves special attention is attack speed. Attack speed increases with Agility. The maximum damage of “Illusion Slash” is achieved at an attack speed of 210. The player should aim for the Champion’s attack speed to passively reach 210 over time, considering equipment (without the Berserk skill and without buffs). If you need to reset extra Agility or Strength points, you can buy stat reset potions in the IM for IMPs.

Champion Equipment

Main Equipment

Up to level 45, the Champion can use the equipment from the Beginner’s Chest. After that, they should look for level 45+ equipment dropped from Equipment Summon Scrolls. When choosing equipment, pay attention to bonuses to Strength, Agility, and Constitution; for gloves — to Accuracy; for swords — to Min/Max Attack and Accuracy; for armor — to Defense. Universal equipment can be obtained from Dusty Chests (Lv. 60) and level 55 Unseals. More details can be found on the Equipment page.

Additional Equipment

  • The most suitable Fairy Pet for a Champion is a 1st- or 2nd-generation pet with Constitution, or a pet with Strength.
  • The best stat for a Hand Pet is +3% Physical Damage or +3% HP.
  • Any Mount.
  • Rings. Among common rings, those that provide a Damage Rate bonus are best suited for the Champion. Among unique rings, the best ones are those with a Strength/Constitution/Agility gem.
  • Necklaces. Among common necklaces, those providing a Physical Resistance bonus are most suitable for the Champion. Among unique necklaces, the most suitable are those with a Strength/Constitution/Agility gem.

s0067 Sword Champion • Level 5Summary: Deals physical damage and stuns the target for 1 second.
At skill level 10 and with Sword Champion at level 10, the base damage is x8 of the character’s attack. When used on players, it deals either 2/3 or 1/8 of this damage depending on "Hit" mechanics. Hit chance varies from 1% to 180% (effectively capped at 100%).
Mechanics:
If either the target or the user is not a player, damage is calculated as: [Attack after resistances] * (3 + [Skill Level] * 0.5).
If both the target and the user are players, this formula becomes the [Base Damage].
When used on a player, the "Hit" mechanic is applied. Hit chance depends on the level difference of players and skill level.
Hit formula: min(90, max(1, (30 + ([Attacker Lv] - [Target Lv]) * 2))).
In Chaos Maps, hit chance becomes: [Previous result] * (1 + [Sword Champion Level] * 0.1) / 100.
Two outcomes exist: [Hit] and [Miss].
Hit damage: math.floor([Base Damage] * 0.67).
Miss damage: math.floor([Base Damage] / 8).
Chaos reduction applies in Chaos Maps.
Notes: Range: 800.
The stun is applied even if the target is already stunned.
If used player vs player, level-based damage reduction applies.
Chaos Mechanics: Stun prevents HP and SP regeneration.
Hit chance is modified.
