Character leveling and Exp amplifiers

Leveling a character in the game happens by accumulating experience (Exp). When the experience bar reaches 100%, the character gains a level. As the level increases, the character becomes stronger: base stats go up, you gain stat and skill points, and you unlock the ability to wear higher-level equipment.

  • Default EXP rates: 5x
  • Maximum character level: 80

Gaining EXP and EXP Reduction

You can gain EXP by killing monsters. A character receives full (unreduced) EXP for killing a monster if:

  • The character is no more than 4 levels higher than the monster
  • The character is no more than 9 levels lower than the monster
  • The character kills monsters solo or in a party of up to two players

For example, a level 40 character will gain full EXP for monsters from level 36 through 49 inclusive. If the level gap between the character and the monster is too large, or the character kills monsters in a party of 3–5 players, a reduction applies: the character receives only a portion of the possible EXP. Therefore, it’s optimal to level in a duo while choosing monsters around the party’s level.

You can see your current accumulated EXP by moving the cursor to the bottom of the screen and finding the large yellow bar near the HP and MH bars.

Party EXP

For all party members to receive EXP from killing monsters, they must be in close proximity both to the monsters and to each other. If one or more members stop receiving EXP, move ALL characters in the party closer together.

Where to Level

Every player can find the most convenient EXP-farming spots on their own. One of the simplest early-game methods is doing the story quests.

As a recommendation, here is a list of monster zones:

  • Lv 1–10: Lv 1 Mystic Shrub, Lv 3 Forest Spirit, Lv 5 Mini Bee (Argent outskirts: 1286,731)
  • Lv 10–15: Lv 12 Bear Cub (Abandoned Mine: 1115,815)
  • Lv 15–20: Lv 17 Angelic Panda (Abandoned Mine: 902,782)
  • Lv 20–25: Lv 20 Mud monster, Lv 23 Miner Mole, Lv 20 Vampire Bat, Lv 26 Ninja Mole (Abandoned Mine: 1123,707)
  • Lv 25–30: Lv 30 Mad Boar (Andes Forest: 700,800)
  • Lv 30–35: Lv 33 Grassland Wolf (Andes Forest: 810,720)

  • Heavenly Berry, Ambition Booster, Squad EXP Fruit, 2.5x Ambition Booster, and 3x Ambition Booster can be bought in the Item Mall for both Crystals and Reputation Points.
  • Every character receives one Heavenly Berry when opening the Newbie Chest at level 20.

Premium Status

When Premium Status is active, the character gains an EXP bonus depending on the premium tier. The premium bonus stacks with all other EXP boosters.

Fairy Body (Possession)

If the character has a 2nd-generation Fairy and “Fairy Body” (possession) active, the character gains an additional [fairy pet level] * 2% EXP. The effect of “Fairy Body” stacks with all other EXP boosters.
