Woodcutting is one of the life skills that allows players to obtain logs and exchange them for wooden planks, which are used as ingredients for production.
How to Learn, Level Up, and Use the Woodcutting Skill
- The maximum skill level is level 1. You can chop any required trees without additional leveling of this skill.
- Hand pets, premium status, and all item drop rate boosters do NOT increase the chance of obtaining logs while woodcutting.
To chop trees, you need an axe, which can be purchased for 1,000 gold from Blacksmith John Brown in Argent (1433,686). After equipping the axe, approach a tree and left-click it. The character will begin chopping, which takes 10 seconds. After that, the tree will be cut down and disappear. A certain amount of time must pass before the tree respawns.
Golden Axe
The Golden Axe doubles the chance of obtaining logs and has durability: it breaks after 1,000 hits. The Golden Axe cannot be repaired. It can be purchased in the Item Mall (Other section) for IMPs.How to Exchange Logs for Wooden Planks
While woodcutting, the character obtains logs, but production requires wooden planks. Logs of any tree type can be exchanged for wooden planks of the same type at the Wood Processing Merchant in the mines (1101,786) at the rate of: 99 logs = 20 wooden planks.
