How to learn, level up, and use the Woodcutting skill
- The maximum skill level is 1. You can chop any type of tree you need without additional skill leveling.
- Hand Pet, Premium Status, and all drop rate amplifiers do NOT increase the chance of obtaining logs while woodcutting.
To cut wood, you need an axe, which can be purchased for 1,000 gold from the Blacksmith — John Brown in Argent (1433,686). After equipping the axe, approach a tree and left-click on it. The character will begin the chopping process, which lasts 10 seconds, after which the tree will be cut down and disappear. A certain time must pass before the tree regrows.
Golden Axe
The Golden Axe doubles the chance of obtaining logs and has durability — it breaks after 1,000 hits. The Golden Axe cannot be repaired. It can be purchased from the IM Shop (section "Other") for IMPs.How to exchange logs for wooden planks
When woodcutting, the player receives logs, but Manufacturing requires wooden planks. Logs of any type can be exchanged for planks of the same wood type at the Wood Processing Merchant in the mines (1101,786) at the rate of: 99 logs = 20 wooden planks.
