Drop Formula
When a player kills monsters (farming), items can drop. The drop chance for items is calculated by the drop formula. To increase drop chances, the player can use various drop boosters. All boosters do not increase the base chance directly; they increase the drop chance multiplier.- Default server rates: 2x
The drop chance from monsters is calculated by the formula:
Final Drop Chance = Base * ( Rates + Booster + Fairy * 0.02 + HandPet + VIP ), where:
Base — the base drop chance of a specific item as shown in the database.
Rates — the current server rates.
Booster — the active item drop booster.
Fairy — the level of a 2nd-generation Fairy when the “Fairy Body” (possession) skill is active.
HandPet — having a Rare hand pet. If a rare hand pet is equipped, value = 0.05; otherwise = 0.
VIP — having Premium Status. If not active: 0. If premium is active, the value depends on the premium tier:
| Tier | IMPs Purchased | Drop Multiplier Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Lv. 1 | 0 | 0.10 |
| Lv. 2 | 10,000+ | 0.15 |
| Lv. 3 | 35,000+ | 0.20 |
| Lv. 4 | 100,000+ | 0.25 |
| Lv. 5 | 250,000+ | 0.30 |
| Lv. 6 | 500,000+ | 0.35 |
Examples
If a base item drop chance is 1%, and the character does NOT use boosters, possession, a rare hand pet, or premium:
Final Drop Chance = 1% * (2 + 0 + 0*0.02 + 0 + 0) = 2%
If a base item drop chance is 1%, and the character uses only a Hi-Amplifier of Luck and does NOT use possession, a rare hand pet, or premium:
Final Drop Chance = 1% * (2 + 3 + 0*0.02 + 0 + 0) = 5%
If a base item drop chance is 1%, and the character uses a Hi-Amplifier of Luck, possession with a level 41 fairy pet, a rare hand pet, and premium status Lv 2:
Final Drop Chance = 1% * (2 + 3 + 41*0.02 + 0.05 + 0.15) = 6.02%

How to Check the Current Drop Chance In-Game
A player can check, in real time, the current item drop chances for a specific monster, taking into account all multipliers currently affecting the character. Right-click the monster or start attacking it, then click the backpack icon above the quickbar.

Quest Items
The drop chance for quest items uses the same formula; however, these items can drop only if the killing blow is dealt by a character who currently has the active quest for that item.
Resource Drop Chance
During Woodcutting, none of the boosters or multipliers listed above affect resource drop chances.
“Drop Reset” Tactic During Bossing
When killing bosses with a large HP pool, the applied drop multiplier is the one active on the character to whom the drop is temporarily “attached”.
The “drop attachment” mechanic has many nuances and edge cases that cannot be described with 100% accuracy.
In most cases when killing a mob or boss, the following holds: the drop “attaches” to the character who dealt the first damage and maintains it at a sufficiently high level relative to other damage sources during the kill. If there was PvP during the boss fight, or frequent deaths among damage dealers, and it’s impossible to determine who currently holds the drop, guilds use a “drop reset” tactic. The guild chips the boss down to about 1% HP or less, then waits several minutes without dealing damage so the boss can “forget” all accumulated damage. After some time, the strongest character in the guild enables possession, uses a drop booster, and then finishes the boss, applying a “new” first hit along with a fresh drop multiplier that will persist until the boss dies.
