Analyze is one of the Life Skills that lets a player convert unwanted gear into valuable items. All items obtained via Analyze are used as ingredients for Crafting, Manufacturing, and Cooking. Some items can be sold to NPCs or other players for gold. The player can also obtain Runestones, which are used in many aspects of the game.
How to Learn Analyze
To learn the Analyze skill, complete the storyline with the Blacksmith — John Brown. After that, you will receive the Crystal Particle, a non-tradable tool for using the Analyze skill.
How to Level Up Analyze
The maximum level of the Analyze skill, as well as the Crystal Particle, is 4. The Crystal Particle gains experience as the player uses the Analyze skill. The EXP gained depends on:
- The level of the item being analyzed
- Having Premium Status active (+15% tool EXP)
Premium Status is only beneficial when analyzing Lv60+ equipment.

After reaching maximum EXP, the Crystal Particle can still be used and does not require repairs. A Repair Tool is only needed to raise the Crystal Particle level and the Analyze skill level. Repair Tools are produced via Manufacturing.

Additional Attribute from Leveling
For each skill level, your character gains +1 Constitution.
How to Analyze
Analyze requires Catalysts and any equipment of level 50+, which can be obtained by killing monsters. A Fairy is not required for Analyze.

To analyze, go to the Substance Analysis Device in Icicle Castle (1533,713), place everything correctly, and press “Start.”
